How to get here:

Public transport

The nearest SKM (Fast Urban Railway) station is Gdynia Główna, approximately 1.9 km from the Aquarium. From there, you can reach the Aquarium on foot.  You can also take bus 119, which has been running to the Aquarium since 1 September 2026. Get off at Przystań Żeglugi, located directly opposite the Aquarium.

Coach

Gdynia Aquarium does not have its own coach parking area. Coaches can stop at the end of Skwer Kościuszki, where two designated coach parking spaces are available.

Parking

Gdynia Aquarium does not have a private car park for visitors. Paid public parking is available along Skwer Kościuszki. There is also a paid car park at the Mercure Hotel, 22 Armii Krajowej Street.

Gdynia Aquarium does not currently provide wheelchairs for visitors.

Lift

Gdynia Aquarium has two lifts, providing access to all exhibition areas.

Unfortunately, one of them is currently out of service. For visitors who need to use a lift, this means that the route through the Aquarium has changed. You can download the updated map here: Map showing the alternative visitor route.

E-guide

A free e-guide is available to use directly in a web browser. It helps visitors navigate the exhibition and provides information about the animals at Gdynia Aquarium. The guide is easy to use and does not require downloading or installing an app. Visitors using the guide are asked to bring their own headphones.

Toilets

Gdynia Aquarium has two accessible toilets and two other toilet facilities, all located on the ground floor. One toilet facility is located opposite the cloakroom, near the ticket office. An accessible toilet can be found further along the education corridor.

Additional toilets, including an accessible toilet, are located in the Amazonia Room, also on the ground floor. They can be reached by following the visitor route through the Aquarium or via the Upper Gallery. For assistance with finding the toilets or navigating the building, visitors can ask the security or visitor service staff.

Assistance dogs

Only assistance dogs and guide dogs are allowed inside Gdynia Aquarium.

Visitors bringing an assistance or guide dog to Gdynia Aquarium must:

  • make sure the dog is wearing a harness,
  • carry a certificate confirming the dog’s status as an assistance or guide dog,
  • carry proof of the required vaccinations.

Stairs

All floors of Gdynia Aquarium can be accessed by stairs. All staircases are equipped with handrails.

There are currently no stairlifts or wheelchair platforms, so visitors using wheelchairs are advised to use the lift.

Quiet room

A dedicated quiet room is available for visitors who need a break during their visit. The room has a comfortable sofa and a window overlooking the sea. Noise-reducing headphones and a blanket are also available.

Parents room

A dedicated room is available for visitors with young children. It has a comfortable sofa and a window overlooking the sea. The room is also equipped with a changing table, bottle warmer, high chair and disposable changing mats.

Noise

Gdynia Aquarium can get quite noisy, especially during the summer season. This is due to the large number of visitors and the relatively limited exhibition space. Visitors who are sensitive to noise may prefer to visit during the autumn and winter months or in the evening during the summer season. A quiet room is also available on the ground floor.
