For two days, we discussed what accessibility in tourism means to us, how to jointly implement our ideas, and how to shape the project so that it brings real change in the South Baltic region. This equals <strong>101 million people<\/strong>, or <strong>one in four adults<\/strong> in the EU.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For the countries in our region, the statistics are as follows:<br>Poland \u2013 24.4%, Germany \u2013 28.2%, Denmark \u2013 36.7%, Lithuania \u2013 27.4%, Sweden \u2013 22.6%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>AIMused<\/strong> project aims to improve the <strong>digital and informational accessibility<\/strong> of tourist attractions and to create a more inclusive offer for people with diverse needs \u2013 including persons with disabilities, older adults and neurodivergent visitors. The project uses modern tools, including those based on <strong>artificial intelligence<\/strong>, to help attractions adapt their content and communication to different audiences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Presenting information in a way that is accessible to as many people as possible strengthens their participation in <strong>cultural, educational and environmental experiences.<\/strong><strong><br><\/strong>This is why inclusive solutions are needed \u2013 so that everyone can take part in tourism and learning <strong>without barriers<\/strong> and in a way that matches their abilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><strong><strong>Project impact<\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>AIMused<\/strong> will set new standards for <strong>content accessibility in educational tourism.<\/strong><strong><br><\/strong>Through international cooperation, the project will deliver <strong>scalable and transferable solutions<\/strong> that can be implemented in various types of institutions \u2013 from science centres and museums to theme parks and nature heritage sites.It will help organisations develop offers that combine <strong>education, technology and accessibility<\/strong> \u2013 so that everyone can take part in discovering the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><strong><strong>What will be developed?<\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Guidelines<\/strong> describing best practices for accessibility in tourism, universal design and plain language,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Digital and physical tools<\/strong> improving access to content in tourist sites,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Training and workshops<\/strong> for tourism and education professionals on communication, cognitive accessibility and the use of AI to support visitors,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Publications<\/strong> \u2013 scientific and popular \u2013 summarising the project\u2019s results and recommendations for the tourism sector.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>All solutions will be <strong>tested in different South Baltic countries<\/strong> with the participation of people with special needs and accessibility
