It lives in the warm waters of the Indian Ocean on coral reefs, mostly in shallow waters of 1 to 25 m. It reaches a length of about 30 cm. It occurs both in flocks as well as alone. It feeds on benthic plants.
Young individuals are lemon yellow, while adults are orange, with red spots around the gill cover. They live in warm waters of coral reefs and lagoons at depths of 5 to 40 m.
It comes from the Indo-Pacific. Lives near the coral reefs and at the rocky bottom at a depth of 5 to 50 m. It reaches a length of about 50 cm. It feeds on fine zooplankton.
